Once upon a time, in better days, stations used to sponsor events like "The World's Largest Garage Sale" under one roof, for individual listeners. Now it's the commercial businesses who need help, and Journal's radio and TV stations are offering struggling local businesses the chance to sell their stuff in the "ultimate clearance sale" at the Pima County Fair, this Friday-Saturday-Sunday. The event's free to shoppers, and I'm sure Journal's keeping it reasonable for the sellers. DOS Dewayne Jones anticipates "dozens of local businesses" offering "extraordinary savings to the public, all in one location." The "merch" ranges from jewelry and spas to TVs. "
