Weekly Flash Scoop, Love and Expectations Are In The Air...

Jun 2, 2010 by Sean Luce

Greetings from MI6 Headquarters in Houston.  I hope that all USA reps and management had a great Memorial Day weekend and that we're ready to tackle the month of June.  High expectations abound considering some of the results that came in from May.

I'll be heading to West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday morning to attend Rush Limbaugh's wedding on Saturday night.  From there, I leave Sunday morning to Washington, D.C. to work with Verstandig Broadcasting North the following week.  Politics aside, his show and E.I.B. network are among the top syndicated networks in the country.  Rush is a family friend, hence the wedding invitation and opportunity to take in the legendary Breakers Resort in West Palm Beach.

A couple highlights from May:  KOLA and KCAL in Riverside/San Bernardino are taking it to the competition.   KOLA had its best month ever in sales by over $75,000. That puts it right up at seven figures for May.   Jeff Parke, Doug Fleniken and their staff at KOLA had a remarkable May.   KCAL came in at May sales goal at 107% and is 4-1 on the season, barely falling short in February.  Tony Nordbeck and Rod Landon lead our top-flight agents in the field at KCAL, where they are over sales goal for the year to date.

Some other names to mention with outstanding performances that might not have had much print in my weekly updates though are very deserving of name dropping are:

         Robert Topping: KOLA

         Claire Telford: Castanet

         Christy Watkins: HT print Missouri/Arkansas

Mark Maier: Pretty amazing death to life turnaround in Pocatello, Idaho.

Greg Larsen: Horizon Broadcasting Group-what a great May he had.

This list could go on for another couple pages.

Last thing:  One of our sales reps sent me a book.  It's called the "90% Rule.  What's Your Next Big Opportunity?"

I particularly like one of the book's quotes:  "If you find one thing to take away from this book, it is the fact that your business can benefit far more from a growth strategy built on leveraging relevant opportunities than it can from ever-changing strategies and tactics based on short-term performance and chasing fragmented growth and hope."

Stay focused and dominate! That's it from Houston.

Have a great week!

Sean
