You probably thought from a quick glance that this was an advertisement for Facebook but I was doing some research for the stations I work with on starting station "Fan Pages" for our properties and was hit with an interesting idea. What if you managed Facebook pages for your clients for a retainer? They could choose how many updates to make weekly, what kind of things they would like to feature, it is basically a Social Media ad campaign that you manage for them just like you do with your property. I think with the proper planning and pricing structure, you could see some real revenue generated with easily tracked ROI. About the only thing I see on the legal side would be an legal authorization form that your clients would give you the right to create and post a Facebook. Why couldn't we do the same for other clients who are "skittish" about the technology but would be comfortable with us taking on that role for them?
